I've reached a stage in life where I pretty much get anything that I want the rest of the year, so the usual gifts are gift cards for specific places. So it's off to the Texas Roadhouse for lunch or dinner, and a trip to Best Buy later on to see what's in the CD or DVD bins.

My dad did get me a remote starter for the car. And just as the winter is shaping up to be a relatively mild one. Still, it'll be nice to be able to get into a warm car after letting it idle for 10 minutes or so on those colder mornings.

My GF got me a motorized watch case.  It has spaces for winding up to four automatic watches.  Since I only have one automatic watch in my collection, I have some shopping to do.

Got some nice clothes from the wife, but the news is I really cleaned up yesterday at the boxing day sales at a couple different comic shops!

My wife got me some great Lynda Barry stuff- an original painting of hers, some prints and an autographed copy of her new book Syllabus. I was pretty stoked!

Very cool!  My wife's a HUGE Lynda Barry fan, and I got her a Marlys drawing a few years ago.  We've met Lynda a couple of times over the years, and absolutely love her.

My wife and I called a truce on gift buying this year, and
instead treated ourselves to a trip to Germany. What a
great choice - we went to a little town called Bad
Godesberg, just outside of Bonn. Germany is beautiful at
christmas time!

I got a white christmas !

For you guys, that might not be a big deal, but for me, living in Hong
Kong and with the kids holidays not long enough for a trip back to
France, I have been waiting for this for 11 years !

We went to South Korea with the kids. It was a blast ! First time my
son saw / touched / played with snow.
