On loan to the exhibition were a number of scale models by Martin Bower that my friend Alan Vince had commissioned . . .

I have a 30" Fireball XL5 by him.

I was seriously tempted to commission an Anastasia, but the pictures he sent me were of the Keith Watson version, which I find slightly "chubby."

Some day, maybe!!

At one point I owned Hampson's colour preliminaries for the murals but, like many other originals from my collection, were later sold or traded-away . . .

If I am reading correctly the scale of those pieces, they must have been staging "in person"!

Nice little model of Frank Bellamy's "loathsome white creatures" from PROJECT NIMBUS. His aliens were more alien than anything seen before in DARE!
