Hello, I Think I did a bargain.
My local comic dealer was going to sell this artbook for 250 Swedish kronor, like 38 dollar. and I got it for 200 skr, like 30 dollar.
For me, I have been looking for it for years. never thought I ever would have it in my hand. But last month...
this is mine now.
my Collection is nearly complete.
just looking for " focus on JB" now.

Nice. I still remember buying mine way back in the early 80's. But even then it's not something I saw lying around on a shelf in many stores. Great book.

I have it as well as the Focus book mentioned above, both purchased in the 80's.  Great books and memories of first reading them.

I guess that Focus cover was originally intended to be an FF cover...?

I love my Art of John Byrne book.

For many years, i didn't recognize Rog 2000 on the Art of... cover.
Instead of getting the joke, my young mind perceived the beginning of a
great scary adventure.

It still strikes that note in me, even tho I know it's a joke now. It's just a
really fun drawing.

My cousins had "The Art Of.." book when I was younger. I poured over it time and time again when I would spend the night with them. I got my copy at DragonCon in (I think) 1995 when JB was a guest there and he was nice enough to sign it for me.

I got my copy of "Focus On" 3-4 years ago on eBay.

I spent less than $20 on both of them.

I love the way the Vision is just taking off, casually leaving Wanda behind. LOL! I always loved that cover.

And a $5.95 cover price! Wow.
Did a little Photoshop flip on this.
