It's really nifty seeing all the JB rarities posted. Thanks, Nathan, and others who have shared the pics.

Did someone else write JB's name on that Mr. Mxyzptlk piece? It looks like it reads "Bryne".

I wonder about the authenticity of the Mxyzptlk piece unless someone was signing for JB. With the 'Dick Giordano' stamped on the page I wonder if someone was identifying the artists after the fact. That might explain the misspelling on JB's name.

Always loved JB's Mxyzptlk. I thought he gave him a little edge without going overboard.

JB has drawn pencil sketches on the backs original art pages before. One of my GENERATIONS pages has a pencil sketch on the back. It could be an unsigned sketch on a page that was ultimately distributed to Dick Giordano. Don't the pencilers and inkers split up the pages after production? Someone could have written JB's name to identify it is his sketch.
Nathan, what's the source of the image you posted?

That is what I figured, Tim. I doubt the the sketch authenticity unless someone other than JB signed his name. I just can't see John signing a sketch and getting his name wrong. ;) Your assumption certainly explains the Giordano stamp and the odd placement of JB's name.
