We are getting VERY close to having everything JB did at Marvel collected on TPB (even his Indiana Jones has been collected by Dark Horse!).
DC, on the other hand, hasn't even finished collecting his game-changing Superman run. What's up with that?

"DC, on the other hand, hasn't even finished collecting his game-changing Superman run. What's up with that? " They get closer every year! Man of Steel Volume 8 comes out in Feb!

the Stern Spider-Man Omnibus has been updated with these specifics:
"Collecting: SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (1976) #43-61 & 85, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #206, 224-252 & AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL (1964) #16-17 ... plus material from AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #15, SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #3, WEB OF SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #3 and WHAT IF...? #34"
Great collection! Sadly missing the Hobgoblin Lives mini from the 90's but that is collected already (in a volume with his Goblins at the Gate storyline).

Thanks for the update, Marcus!
FYI, the "material from" section includes mostly profile pages devoted to Spider-Man's rogues gallery, diagrams of Peter's apartment and ESU office, and his grad school supporting cast. Also several pages of Aunt May's photo album.
The What If material is two pages from the humor issue: "What If Marvel Comics and the National Endowment for the Arts Presented Spidey Intellectual Stories?"

The "material from" section doesn't sound too essential! Not that I'm complaining - It's Spider-Man by Roger Stern!
Now that I know the details, I feel safe in ordering the HOBGOBLIN LIVES and REVENGE OF THE GREEN GOBLIN trades. Didn't want to double-dip if they were included. Those are the only other Stern Spidey stories that are most-owns for me.

To me, it would work better to include Hobgoblin Lives in the DeFalco Spider-Man Omnibus, if it includes Spider-Man vs. Wolverine and ASM #289 (neither of which were written by DeFalco, but which were supposed to resolve plot threads of the Hobgoblin storyline which DeFalco had continued from Stern's run).
Even though HL is written by Stern, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense without reading the issues which created the mess it was designed to clean up, which came after Stern's initial run. Another reason to include it in a DeFalco Spider-Man Omnibus is that HL was drawn by Ron Frenz, who of course was the main artist during the DeFalco run.
Speaking of a theoretical DeFalco-Frenz Spider-Man Omnibus, I hope Marvel will include those two issues of Webspinners they did in the appropriate place. Good stuff! Too bad Jim Owsley's self-proclaimed incompetent meddling as editor screwed up their original stint on Amazing. At their best, they were worthy successors to Stern/JRJR.

Ah, memories! I was reading all the Spider-Man books at the time. Was really enjoying Amazing from #224-283, the Stern/DeFalco years!
Gang War and the Ned Leeds/Hobgoblin reveal were real downturns for me.

Having not bought a brand new comic book in close to 3 years I will be buying this and the first volume. I sold those issues years ago and bought my first car with the money I made.
