Gonna have to make room for Tor, and Bone's coming up not long after that.  I've seen Scott Dunbier's calendar, and these are going to come out almost monthly for a while.  Brace yourselves.

Monthly?  Gulp.

I've got them all except the Sergio Aragones and the upcoming Bone and Sam Kieth ones.  I can't wait to see the Tor.

New Gods is getting full-blown Artist's Edition treatment, isn't it?  "Artifacts" are going to be the incomplete issues, like Watchmen and (I hope) JB's X-Men.  The New Gods one actually increased in page count from the original announcement due to Scott Dunbier tracking down an additional issue.  Very excited about that one--I love that vintage of Jack Kirby's art.

Hadn't heard about these coming but there goes any idea that I might spend a little less on comics next year!

Andrew I assumed the "Artist vs.Artifact" edition was just a typo on
Diamond's part. If Scott found a whole issue to add then, AWESOME!

Although to be honest, the book could be just a bunch of pages from
various issues without them being complete and it would still find it's
way to my bookshelf.

I don't know about you guys, but the Artist's Editions I have don't get read. Oh, I try to read them... but then my eyes get distracted by the details on the art, and I find myself just looking at page after page without reading anything but the artist/writer/editor/etc notes.

It's very nice to have the word balloons filled in, and narration boxes present... but I think it'll be a while before I can make use of them because everything else is just too damn interesting to see!

The Watchmen one is perfect for me, I have no intention reading the story again but I would love to just drool all over Dave Gibbon's art. Not literally as the books are a bit on the pricey side.

Yeah these Artist books from IDW are getting to be "must buys"! Not good since they are pricey but oh so worth it.

New Gods is being advertised as an Artist's Edition.  Scott Dunbier has several complete issues.  I don't see it for pre-order at IDW yet.

I just saw it for pre-order at Tales of Wonder. It says it will have issues #2,5,6,7, and 8.
