Believe I read that both Mike Mignola and Jim Steranko both approved their upcoming AE's.
I love these books. The only quibble I have is sometimes they get slightly warped - the Wally Wood one and the first Romita Spider-Man both had this problem. I am not sure if this is due to their size or paper or what. IDW promptly replaced the Wood one for me and the Spider-Man one isn't that bad so I kept it as is.

As a collector of original artwork, I would rally against any reproduction that would allow for removal of pages from a volume, leaving the viewer uncertain of original vs. reproduction.

I'm having to build a bookcase for these. So I've been storing the book inside the boxes they came in. They seem to have done an adequate job of keeping warping from being a problem.

Stephen I keep them in their original books laid out horizontal. To me they're just too big to store vertically. I'd get concerned about the binding but I am extra-OCD over books so don't mind me.
Do you have the Wally Wood one? IDW acknowledged straight-away they had warping issues on that one but I forget the reason.

Fred- IDW already does Artist Edition portfolios of smaller stories. So...you better start your rallying. YOUR FEARS ARE REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yeah, I have to lay the larger EC books out horizontally to avoid the pages & spine warping due to good ol' gravity. I suppose you could add a strip of foam-core at the bottom in between the covers to fix this problem. The pages just need a bit of a lift so they don't kill the spine.
And I like the Kirby book.

Dave thanks for confirming I am not alone in this. I treat these like my children. I have every AE except the Groo and Bone ones (will be getting them as well) and love them. I love the art seen like this. I almost bought more of AEs than actual comics last year.
The Steranko Nick Fury and Kubert Enemy Ace are going to be gorgeous.

Brennan, I don't have the Wallace Wood edition. Not from lack of want to be certain. Both first and second printing are too expensive for me.

Did anyone get the Charles Schulz's PEANUTS Artist Edition? I'd love to see a picture.
Also, while not a prestige book in format, I think it qualifies due to it's creator and subject matter. Walt Simonson's RAGNAROK comes out next month. CBR has a great interview. And, looking at those pages they've posted, this looks like Uncle Walt's best work ever.

Random thoughts:
KIRBY INKS TOO DARK?: Just adjust your monitor a little bit next time you go to that website. A little nudge and you should be able to get it to match the printed book. Joking of course, but not entirely. I think you see where I'm going with this...
WALLY WOOD EDITION: I've owned maybe ten different AEs so far (sold a couple along the way) and the WW one is my favorite. (just wanted to throw that in there)
BENDING: I store mine horizontally as well. My Wally Wood book was bought used and came slightly bent. Horizontal storage has actually helped, though it's still not perfect.

Expecting my Peanuts AE soon. Really looking forward to all of the books coming out this summer. Hellboy, Steranko and Simonson's Manhunter are due soon, and I think the first Maxx book is on the way, As far as the Marvel Covers book goes, I know JB's X-Men 140 is in there. I just scanned the covers to Captain America Annual 8 and Secret Wars 8, and I've heard about a lot of really nice pieces that are going to be included. Should be a really amazing collection.
