I lost count..oh well..anyway, it was a good ride while it lasted, I guess. At least I can draw MY Hulk whenever I want. It's just sad that readers of today's Hulk probably won't see this version of the character last beyond the next creative team

Iron Man is just as bad. Being genetically modified as the smartest person ever. What is it with all the marvel characters having father issues all of a sudden? Iron Man, Cap, Hulk has had more than his fair share already.

"Have they explained why, even though he's now called "Indestructible" instead of "Incredible," the Hulk wears armor?"
The armor is for Banner.

Lots of classic Hulk stories in my book shelf. They haven't ruined that, no matter what they put the character through now. Not any more than they have ruined Spider-Man, who apparantly now is really Doc Ock in Spider-Man's body.

"Indestructible"--why read about a character where the advertisement is that he's indestructible.
Where's the suspense in that?

I just look at all the Hulk books on the shelves these days and go "That's not the Hulk that I knew when I was a kid." I haven't picked up any Hulk comics since I brought a couple from Peter David's second run about 10 years or so back. No one could do the character like the Mantlo/Buscema team that I grew up with.(Nor could they do one like Byrne, either. Which showed hints of becoming something only Byrne could do. Go figure.)

The idea itself is not something that bothers me. The fact that Marvel has been going with this for over a year is the problem. Back in the 70's this would have been a three issue story arc tops! Like JB mentioned earlier, the fanboys won't let this one go. We could be seeing Spider-Ock for a few more years.

INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
Banner has come to the conclusion that the Hulk
is indestructible. Not that he can't be hurt, but that
he will not die. No one can kill the Hulk. Hurt him,
yes, but kill him, no.

The armor does help Banner, but originally it was used
for a deep sea mission.
