I really wish I hadn't decided to get a new bathroom suite.

I keep going back looking at this book. I've decided to slowly savor the pages instead of tearing through it.

============ You should try reading them Jason. I keep trying but I always get distracted by the exquisite artwork.

I find myself flipping through this book when I get home, and it is gets better the more you look at it. It's amazing to see the art recreated this way. It is mind blowing to see work I have been reading since I was a kid in this form. I thought I would read this book by just looking at the art, but I confess I find myself getting caught up in reading the entire stories.
JB, your first issue, "Back to the Basics" (#232) is a perfect FF story. It captures the essence of teamwork, while showcasing each of the team in really cool action. I am so glad it was included in this edition. I remember reading it on release, and it is a very strong memory.

The book IS truly amazing. On top of all the amazing artwork, the graphic design work is really fantastic. From the images used on the end papers to the font used. It's definitely my favorite of the Artist's Editions I have.

Well, Having poured through my copy with my good friend I've certainly concluded that I hate John Byrne. How can one guy be -that- good!?
And to think, this was his old stuff! He just get's better and better.
It felt like such a privilege to get to look through these. I'll certainly, seriously consider another JB AE, should there be one coming out.
(It's not wrong to hate someone because they are so freaking talented, right?)

Holy shit...I just got my copy and read thru it real quick. What an amazing book. What an awesome book. I never knew these Artist Editions were so great, how could I?
I guess I have a new comic passion now. I'm thinking a Kubert Tarzan would be totally cool next. Second printings of older editions too.
Wow.

I treasure my John Romita Artist's Edition. I splurged and got the signed and numbered edition that included a sketch by Romita and signatures by Romita and Stan Lee! Couldn't pass that up especially as it doesn't seem my path is ever going to come across Romita at a comic con. Looks like IDW still has some of those Romita deluxe editions available! I recommend it.
