Marcel, he is not evil, he is above good or evil! He does what he must for he is... Bill! I'm no Watcher, but I figure I would pinch hit.

Christophe: I thought I recognised that John Buscema page you have and, after double checking, it is from 'Torrent of Doom' - the second part of the story 'The Pool of the Black One'. The story was adapted by Roy Thomas with art by John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala and was in 'Savage Sword of Conan' #23 That particular page is 14 of 19 in that story. Hope that's of some interest and help.
With regards to the FF Artist's Edition, it truly is a magnificent book and I'd recommend any fan of comic book art to get a copy if you can.

I must be getting Alzheimer's! Apparently I already ordered this book and forgot. I'm glad I didn't order a copy from IDW after I saw this thread.
I have to wait a week to go down and pick it up tho. Ugh!

My LCS sells all their graphic novels and what not at 50% off, but it is hit or miss on what they get. Today I walked in and saw this on the racks. Took me like half a second to snag it.
Regarding an earlier post, JB, I really like it when you go heavy with the blacks. It adds so much to your already lovely work.

A nice moment on Thursday. I brought the FF Omnibus and the Artist's Edition to my parent's house. I've told before of my Dad sitting at the dinner table after work when I'd walk in on Wednesdays with new comics from the newsstand. I fondly recall his and my amazement at FF during JB's run.
Thursday last, those same to people sat 30 years later noting the tiny scratches made in the tiny isle of Manhattan that Terrax had stolen into space! The way the eyes of Sue, so beautiful and perfect, changed with her moods, and how the color of certain issues enhanced the artwork.
You draw SMALL real good JB!

======= I'll second that! It's not always easy to do either.

I found myself "working with" an inker who was notorious for turning everything into smooth plastic and polished metal, even when it was, oh, tree bark or a sports coat. I penciled the scenes with rough edges, and in the margin jotted "remember! at this size nothing is smooth!" Came back looking like cut glass. sigh

William, you scored a great deal on the Artists Edition. At 50% off I think your LCS took a loss on that book. They don't offer steep discounts to retailers on those books. Their mistake is your gain.

====== Yep! I know the dealers cost and William made out like a bandit. Good score, Bill!
