The relationship between Kurt and Logan was part of what made Wolverine appealing to me. Their mismatched "odd couple" think really worked for me.

I recall that episode of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends! If I'm remembering correctly, Wolverine had two big moments. One where he popped a claw through an apple and offered it to Spidey, saying, in his very best Crocodile Dundee voice, "Eh, want a piece of fruit, mate?" The second, he popped his claws and launched himself at the Juggernaut only to be thrown back, getting his claws stuck in a wall for the rest of the fight.

Hey, they had to do something with him, right? It's not like you can attack someone with sharp, pointed weapons on Saturday Morning TV!

I still laugh when I think of Wolverine's Aussie accent in that SPIDER-
MAN & HIS AMAZING FRIENDS episode. How prescient!

As a lad, I was a fan of the 90s X-Men cartoon. I had been a fan of the comics prior to this, and I remember being annoyd that Wolverine who pop his claws before pouncing on Sabretooth, but then he'd sheathe them when actually lunging at Sabretooth, then after he'd deck him, Wolvie would flip back and pop his claws again.

And that is definitely a very ironic comment for Jim Lee to have made to you!

There's always the possibility that he was being intentionally obnoxious.

The yellow costume having so many fans baffles me. The brown outfit is just better in general and certainly better for the character. He first appeared in it, I believe, in 1980 and it lasted till...1992? I usually have a strong distaste for primary yellow ANYTHING, much less as the garb for gritty superhero/action heroes. What was Jim Lee thinking? It doesn't even make sense for his own methodology!

If I am remembering correctly, Mr Lee's reaction to being told that JB was the one that got rid of the blue and yellow costume was done in such a way that being obnoxious was not his intent.

Time Machine to do list:

1. Find out if Jesus was who he said he was.
2. Kill Hitler before he rises to power.
3. Prevent Jim Lee from changing Wolverine's costume back.

Mind you, if that time traveler could have actually SHOWN me the shape of my career, and the industry, as it rippled out from that one moment -- THEN I might have listened!

I say we crowd-source a short film take-off on IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, we could call it IT'S A HORRIBLE COMIC. Who should play young JB?
