My only concern is that there are bound to be people who will pick away at my "science" in this story. Compared to DOOMSDAY+1, which was a fantasy populated by aliens, robots, mermaids and other such elements, this new book is relentlessly grim -- but I didn't want it completely inaccessible! So the global disaster that sets things rolling "calms down" fairly quickly. "Angry skies" is a common color note, but I didn't want the whole book to be about hurricanes and acid rain!! ================================== One of the things I love the most about end of the world scenarios is the survivalist aspect. Most of us would be ill equipped to survive in a wilderness on our own but to be stranded in an empty city can be just as dangerous. It's also a fascinating way to examine society get thrown back to a hunter gatherer tribal structure. JB, I know you mentioned that solar activity will be the catalyst for the series. Did you do any research about what would actually happen? Thanks!
