What did "Kung Fu Grip" mean?  That was before my time and I've never been clear on it.  Was it a specific articulation scheme?

@Luke: "Kung Fu Grip" was a pair of rubber hands that could hold -
pretty tightly - G.I. Joe weapons and accessories.

I really loved G.I.Joe back in the 80's. The original concept as a cool
high tech special forces outfit was just excellent. As the series went
forward they kept getting further and further away from the concept.
The creation of Serpentor, for me, was the jumping of the shark.

The poster is pretty cool, but the concept is too muddied, at this point,
for me to pick it up.

The current Joe series seems to go "back to basics". Fred Van Lente is writing it, he is good!

Although I must say I've always been more of a Transformers guy. And one of the current Transformers series (More Than Meets the Eye) is, simply put, the best Transformers comic series ever! Possibly the best monthly series being published in the US as well, no kidding!

IDW doing a great job, as always.
