This is a bit off topic, but I was looking on Google to find a nice, clean, large image of that X-Men corner box and I came across this fun blog:
Cornered!

Tattoos make no sense to me. Heck, I would not even want a HAIRCUT I could not change, so the idea of having something permanently engraved into my flesh is just CRAZY!That said, it makes even LESS sense to me to have a tattoo on the BACK, where the owner can't even SEE it!!

I'm also tempted to get one myself but I won't. For exactly the reasons you wrote.

The ones that mystify me are Chinese symbols and other foreign script, how does one know if the symbol you are getting inked actually means what you think it does? Does it actually say `Gullible tourist`? Also, are there loads of Chinese/Japanese people wandering around with random English words tattooed on their bodies? If i had that kind of money spare,i`d get a commission to hang on my wall!

Also, are there loads of Chinese/Japanese people wandering around with random English words tattooed on their bodies?•• Not as unlikely as it sounds. The Japanese, especially, are fascinated with English words as pure design elements. So I wouldn't be all that surprised to find them turning up in tattoos.

I Thought the same thing as written above. So to insure I wasn't going to get 'Gullible Tourist' I asked an owner of a Chinese fast food place I knew how to write the word I wanted.
In interesting bit of information I discovered. There are different characters used to describe the same word. Depending on how you are using the word.
Edited to changed The are to there are.

I remarked to my wife earlier that we've moved from tattoos as a one- off thing that a drunken soldier might get on leave or a college student during a rebellious period to an actual lifestyle. There are more and more people with dozens of tattoos -- the sort of thing you used to see only on carny folk.
I suppose much of this is related to the decline of dress codes in the workplace. Tattoos were once relegated to ankles, bottoms, or lowe backs because anywhere else would make it difficult to get hired anywhere.
I don't have any tattoos or piercings and I'm beginning to fall into a minority!
