Saw a picture of an historical plaque installed in Cleveland explaining the creation of Superman... too bad they spelled Jerry Siegel's last name INCORRECTLY on the plaque!

Michael, the plaque has Siegel's name misspelled on one side but not the other. It was errected 10 years ago by the city of Cleveland before there was a Siegel and Shuster Society. The society have built all the other Superman related monuments in the city and rehabilitated the old Siegel house. Years ago the plaque was stolen and the city was going to replace it with a new one with corrected spelling. Then it was returned and the city took the cheap route and just put the misspelled one back up. Cleveland Rocks! :/

I should point out that the image Tom French posted comes from Superfan Michael Bailey's excellent VIEWS FROM THE LONGBOX Podcast, which is currently focused especially on Superman.
Mr. Bailey is also cohost of the excellent FROM CRISIS TO CRISIS:A SUPERMAN PODCAST, which is covering all Superman comics from MAN of STEEL # 1 in 1986 to just before INFINITE CRISIS in 2006.
I highly recommend both shows!

The Death of Superman is #12 on that list of the 25 best Superman stories of all time. How does that work?

Interesting choice of Superman image for that NYT piece.•• They needed one of him looking old. After all, he's 75!

The Death of Superman is #12 on that list of the 25 best Superman stories of all time. How does that work?•• It's a pretty much worthless list that includes that, but does NOT include the original "Death of Superman" imaginary story in 149.
