In these last years he did at least a storyline or a miniseries. Last work I remember is for the 10 issues miniseries DC Universe Legacies.
Having the original books (and some in its Italian edition, too) I didn't buy this book, but I surely suggest it to those who don't know Garcia Lopez's art or to who simply wants to read good stories with wonderful art. This book contains some of the finest art I have ever seen in Superman comics.

Funny thing: reading this (the Superman book) this afternoon, I was
struck by one drawing of Diana Prince by JLGL dressed in her WWII
uniform. Not "distracted" by the Wonder Woman costume, I was struck
by how beautiful the rendering of her face was.

Just recieved my copy from Amazon. Ye Gods! I wish someone had mentioned what an appallingly bad PRINTING job this book has. The line on most of the pages looks like it was shot from xeroxes! The old letterpress of the original comics was vastly superior. Had I known, I would have canceled my order. A colossal FAIL for DC. And a huge insult to Garcia-Lopez.

As far as I'm concerned, DC set the bar with the near perfect printing of the Kirby Fourth World books. Anything less than that is unacceptable and inexcusable.

My heart sank when I flipped open the book and saw they'd gone back to that wretched "flat" color, where the old dot screen is turned into slabs of solid color that end up looking like paint swatches.I mean SERIOUSLY!! They learned how to do it right with the Kirby books. WHAT HAPPENED?????

I'm with you on this, JB. I'm almost finished with the last volume of the Kirby Fourth World omnibus and the reproduction is perfect. Old comics just look vastly superior with that type of reproduction and paper stock. This obsession with glossy paper has to go.
It seems to me that the audience for classic material like this would almost always prefer high quality "newsprint" reproductions that serve the material over mindless glossy paper and poor coloring. Not to mention that there is an annoying glare with the glossy paper. Feh.

I have a few glossy DC collections from a similar era which I thought all looked a bit odd, smudged if you will, but not having any actual issues from the era I thought perhaps it was how they had looked.
I do wish they were all done Fourth World style.
