Had a really nice morning reading this collection today. The art is beautiful and for me the stories are pretty fun too.

Does Garcia-Lopez still work at DC?

@Michael and Richard - lucky! Breaking street date must
not be as big a deal in publishing as it is in the video
game business.

He has done most of his work in licensing for DC over the past four
decades and continues to do so. I may be misremembering, but I think
that the last art he did that saw print was the Batman: Legends of the
Dark Knight storyline he did with Kevin Nowlan a few years back.

Thanks Fred, from what I read it seemed he might be at DC but the lack of actual comic work had me wondering.

In regards to the street date, Amazon UK sent mine out at the beginning of last week so I had it through a week before I expected it, which was a nice treat.

Count me in. BTW I loved the Gil Kane collection too.

Furthermore, Jose draws my all-time favorite Wonder Woman.
Here he drew one for my daughter.

And here he drew Supergirl for my other daughter.

My favorite Superman work of his was found in DC Comics
Presents. In fact, I first discovered his work there in
issue #17.

Edited to add: Post 6666 :-)

I love it. Between the first photo, which is a wonderful pic of Jose with
your daughters, and the second, featuring me sitting on my girlfriend's
lap..... You've made my afternoon. Ted, if you haven't done so already,
you may want to share this wi him via Facebook. I think he'd love the
photo of him with your kids!

Will do, Fred, and thanks again for helping me get to know
him, even just a little bit.

Baltimore's coming agin, my friend. Eddy Barrows and his wife will be
there this year too. Psyched at the possibility of having these two guys
sitting at the same table.
