I can't recall many examples of this. Maybe an old Kirby monster...? Feels like something a big, dumb character would do... or a character with limited vocabulary.

I'm certainly not noticing this "all over the place these days".

I remember this goofy effect from the Spider-Man/Iceman/Firestar cartoon, when the villain the Arachnoid (?) showed up, constantly bellowing his own name in a frenzied, high pitched squeal.

Got me wondering -- when did this affectation, which seems to be all over the place these days, first appear?

I don't recall seeing it much, either, but - If you were ever gifted with the power of the Human Torch, your last name alone would make a perfect battle cry! And it sounds much cooler than "Flame On!"
