Happy to see Cap and Cyclops up front where they belong.•• That was almost "accidental". GIven a free hand as to how to handle the Beast, I realized immediately that Hank would be charging in to try to STOP this fight between his multiple team members. So I put him a center, and then started building the fight around him. Then I realized if I put Cap and Cyclops in front, they would not obscure too much of the background action, AND it would mean Mr. McCoy was heading (as he would!) straight for the leaders of the packs!

After a bit more consideration, some of the bits and pieces I particularly like:
I really like the tiny barrage that Yellowjacket is sending Banshee's way. For some reason the jet holes in Iron Man's feet are totally cool. Love the 'woe is me' look on Beast's face, which is perfectly apt. The Vision's grim, unimpressed visage contrasts nicely with Wolverine's ferocity. Captain America and Cyclops both look spot on here and I like the way they're almost knee-deep in rubble.

Wolverine vs. Vision is excellent! You can see Wolverine's rage amping up with his frustration. And you KNOW he is about to be scorched by twin eye blasts!

I have been without home computer access for a month or so and have been seriously missing JB and this forum. My first day being able to check back in a while and I see this! From famine to feast--really love this. My two favorite Marvel leaders, Cyclops vs. Captain America, the creative idea of Vision vs. Wolverine, Beast...perfect.

This is the kind of insight that I respect; today's writers tend to have characters acting in a manner to make their 'dramatic' script make some kind of sense, rather than how they should act <g>.

The answer, most often, is some variant on "The characters do what the writers TELL them to do! They're not real!" Which is absolutely true, and which is why, when portraying said characters, we should be very careful to remain true to who those characters have been "told" to be in the past.

I always liked Banshee as a character but was he the "Pete Best" of the X-Men? He's looking good here and Yellowjacket is about to get his. heh
