I ordered Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill #1 from Westfield based solely on Steve Rude's art. I think it's the first art he's done for DC or MARVEL in quite a long time.Superior Spider-Man #2 carries over from my previous ASM subscription with MARVEL. It will take a few weeks to get here.

I didn't notice it before, but Marvel's rereleased the Stan Lee and Moebius SILVER SURFER story. Previews has it listed as a #1; but I picked it up and it's the whole story in a one shot. It also appears to have plot pages from Stan Lee, Moebius sketches, both covers, and images from the poster set he did including: Spider-Man, Daredevil, Electra, Wolverine, Punisher, and Iron Man. Actually not bad for $7.99.

-SUPERMAN #16: H'El's over. Now let's see what this creative team can do. -TEEN TITANS #16: Glad to see some foreshadowing for stuff past Death of the Family. -INVINCIBLE #100: I'm looking forward to this. -DARK AVENGERS #186: Hope the rumors aren't true..one less Jeff Parker Marvel comic would suck. -SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #2: This has been good. I'm enjoying it more than I thought. -X-MEN LEGACY #5: Same here. -X-TREME X-MEN #9: Sorry to see this ending as well. Pak tells some good X-Men stories.

Adam, It seems like Marvel isn't interested in putting Parker on anything that "sells". I think it works to his advantage because I can't imagine that he gets a whole lot of interference with his books.

Wallace,
What did you think of Invincible #100?
---
I have really enjoyed the overall series, but this issue was just okay for me. Part of that is my fault though. On Tuesday I made the mistake of visiting a message board where people were speculating about what would happen with Mark, and a guy who had obviously already gotten hold of a copy of the issue "guessed" exactly what happened. I really don't like the idea of ____ going back to work for _____ either. However, I'm still really interested in seeing where things are headed. I still like the characters. I still think the art is well-suited to the story.
That said, INVINCIBLE may no longer be my favorite monthly superhero title. GUARDING THE GLOBE/INVINCIBLE UNIVERSE looks to be going after that honor!

Got the new issue of Angel and Faith, and that's it for comics...
But of course, this wasn't a big week for comics, it was a big week for Dark Horse's The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia hardcover! Also, finally picked up volume 1 of Prince Valiant (and ordered volumes 2-6 before even reading 1, so sure am I to fall in love), and JB's own Jurassic Park: The Devils in the Desert joined my collection for the first time. Read it last night before bed and it was AWESOME!

Heres what I thought... INVINCIBLE #100- I skipped the spoiler at Bleeding Cool when it was posted so the issue suprised me. I'm more interested in what's coming up and I'm kind of glad this arc is over. I never enjoy hugely hyped storylines: The Death of the Human Torch, Batman RIP, Death of the Family, Everyone Dies, anything the X-Men have done the last 20 years... Wallace, I'm looking forward to see what changes are going to be made to Guarding the Globe when it becomes Invincible Universe. Truth be told, I think that's a better title. AVENGERS #4- I've always like Hyperion so this issue was especially interesting for me. Marvel tried to make Sentry their Superman, I've always thought that Hyperion was a character that you could have fun with. Of course, MY interest in Hyperion comes from the 70's and 80's (I thought Jeff Parker had an interesting take in Thunderbolts a year or so ago), nothing that Marvel has done since they let JMS have him has interested me. I'm also assuming this is not the Thomas/Gruenwald Hyperion but a totally new one. DARK AVENGERS #186- I'm with you, Adam. There's some interest with this line-up for me because the name truly fits with the group they've assembled. SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #2- Wow. I looked elements of the book but I may have a shorter attention span than I originally thought if this stuff goes on every issue. Diamond STILL hasn't shipped Daredevil #22 to my LCS!!! Nothing worse than a poorly run monopoly.

What I picked up (not all fresh this week but I only go once a month or so)
DARKNESS #110 - Super end to the current story, very much plowing more deeply into the 'be careful what you wish for' theme of the current run. A book I never imagined I'd enjoy is easily one of my favorite books right now.
LOT 13 #4 - A fun spooky story with great art by Glenn Fabry.
BLACK BEETLE #1 - Francesco Francavilla's pulp series look like it'll be a good ride. Francavilla's enthusiasm is infectious.
ANGEL AND FAITH # - Still the best Buffy book on the market, will be sad when this one ends.
REVIVAL #6 - I'm not as in love with this as a lot of people, still feels like they're doing too much but nothing concisely enough. Not bad but unfocused.
CLONE #3 - A pretty standard but still solid clone story. Juan Jose Ryp is a great artist.
