I really like Nova's costume, it's perfect for a Super-Hero who gets his powers and costume from an alien.

••

Hey, it worked for Green Lantern!

Not a fan of the Nova costume. Bit of a "kitchen sink" effect going on there.

Like the color scheme, tho.

He was, as his name suggests, one-sighted to a fault.

Oh, PUH-leese....!!!!

After seeing a recent All-New X-men cover, I'm really liking the Marvel Girl costume more and more.

Therefore, I could see Scott at a certain point get somewhat "bent" from such rigidity and always following orders especially when others around him are less than perfect. I would never see him as a "bad ass" or a "dick" though.

Way back in X-FACTOR #1, he abandoned his wife and child in Alaska the second he heard Jean Grey was alive.

To me, that has "dick" written all over it.

On the costume/pouches and pockets issue - I'd say Scott needs one on his outfits for a spare emergency visor.  Maybe even in his belt buckle.

I never got how those things could fold up. It's as big as the width of his head. A spare pair of specs, sure, those can fold up and fit in a pocket inside his belt, but a spare visor? Wouldn't he have to put it together, folding flap "A" into slot "B" and flange "1" into groove "2" in the middle of a pitched battle? With his eyes closed?

Or hey, today it's probably Extremis nanotech technology and just grows out of his forehead and cheekbones.

Which means we still don't need pockets for it...

OK, I stopped reading X-Men a long time ago, but it seems to me that every time I see them these days - in promos and such - they have a different costume. Is every artist that takes on the title creating their own costumes? And would they please stop? The image that started the thread hurts my eyes.

Looking over the different costumes that the original X-Men wore over the years, I've concluded that none look as good to me as their first school uniforms.
