Wow what a way to end the year! Congrats, Vinny!

Thank you JB for another amazing year of commissions. That includes mine of course! :)

Let's hope for more in 2013!

What a great way to end 2012! Mr. Byrne isn't resting on his laurels.

I'd like to say this is my favourite, but I have about several dozen all tied for my "favourite" so I really can't choose.

JB, have you ever done a superhero comic in this gray tone style? Could you/would you? I'm thinking it would only work on something heavy rather than be a 'fun' book.

I keep looking at the way that Heather's sweater was so intricately
rendered and the name Mort Drucker keeps popping into my head -
even though I'm not finding any texturing of this sort by him
online.Maybe I should be thinking of another famous Black and White
artist?

*ack - "popping", not "pooping"! Damn you, autocorrect!

I'm not so sure the grey tones would work well on an action-packed
comic or commission. I would think that maybe they'd be a bit of a
distraction from the the , um, action.

For a while I thought I'd like to have a piece done with shading, but
couldn't think of an appropriate scene for it. At the same time I wanted
to do this particular scene, but couldn't think of a 'hook' to make it
worthwhile. But then I saw that AF#13 piece and realized "duh!"

I'm still waiting to this day for a scene in a comic book that left such a big impression on me.

Well chosen, Vinny! Beautifully done, JB!
