Here's a bit more detail on my original request, so you can see JB's deviations and why they made for a better piece:
I had in mind the focus being on Guardian, with Heather coming in from behind, with a bit a relieved look on her face that she found him, as an ironic twist that she has no idea of what's about to happen. I kept likening it in my mind to old EC Comics horror covers. But looking at the way JB presented it, I realize - how could Heather have anything but a horrified look on her face, even without knowing what's about to happen? Guardian was still in pretty bad shape here. A part of me almost suggested that Guardian have his helmet on so he would not look too badly to Heather, but the scene is too pivotal to be muddled with like that.
With the angle JB went with, this scene is now all from Heather's perspective, and the reader is entering the room for the first time as well, so you're left wondering "WTF just happened here?" just like Heather is.
That's why he's the artist, and I'm not!

Wow, powerful!
I remember reading this issue Back in the Day™ and wondering why JB had ALREADY killed my favorite member of AF!

I mean.... WOW!!!
