Now I recall that Marvel toyed with this idea to a small degree. They published a title called MARVEL VISION, it was kinda like the old MARVEL AGE and I remember a segment they did only a couple times.
A plot for a single page done by two artists.
(The one I'm thinking of was John Romita vs. Mark Bagley, where Captain America is leaping off a bridge while rescuing someone. -the image is still stuck in my head)

I once suggested it would be fun to have several different artists tackle the same short story, without seeing each others work. At the time, I had in mind Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Joe Kubert, Neal Adams and John Buscema.
