At the grocery last night, I overheard the guy in front of me talking to an older gentleman about what happened in Connecticut last week. He told is elder that, and I DO quote, "what happened was not the fault of guns. The only people whose fault it is, is the parents." The somewhat flabbergasted cashier then asked him for specification. " It's the parents' fault for ever having those children in the first place." He is actually blaming the parents of those children that were killed by a mentally unbalanced gunman for them getting shot because they decided to have children. I had two thoughts after hearing this: a) I really hope he dosen't have kids b) What kind of society are we in where blame is shifted to so far a degree?
