I framed the story as a flashback, so readers could have Spider-Man in costume on every page. Silly me. A while later ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN would show me how to do it RIGHT!! Keep that damn silly costume out for issue after issue after issue. . .

===

Ha ha.  That made me laugh.

Yeah who wants to see the hero in costume?

One of my favorite covers JB has ever done!  Nicely done, Greno!

Really enjoyed this series. Love the page where the other Marvel characters react to Spider-Man.

What I liked about this series can be summed up in one word: Eventful.

Okay, every issue of every title should be eventful, but this series featured so much. I would say it crammed a lot in, but I do not mean "crammed" in a pejorative sense. I like it when a movie, TV show or comic features so much without ever compromising quality.

Each page is easy to follow, panels are dynamic (with great poses) yet clear and uncluttered.

A clinic on how to do comics 'right', IMO.

Indeed, Greg.

I'm not sure where my SPIDER-MAN: CHAPTER ONE issues are, I put a lot of stuff in a box when I moved house and I'm still trying to find a few things. If there's a trade paperback out there, I'll buy it!

I got my copy from a lot I bought on Ebay years ago.... as a bonus, it was signed, with certificate! Talk about a gem to happily add to my collection!

I was not excited about the coloring...but oh boy!...I was really excited about Chapter One. I loved the last page!
