Still without power. Can't really complain. My worst problem right now is boredom, which doesn't even make a mark against what some are going through.

So, will there be new comic books at the LCS today, or what?

No "fierce battery", Flavio. I bought a recharger to use in the car.

And life goes on, apparently. Garbage pick-up this morning, as usual, and just now a FedEx delivery. Guess that means the roads are clear. Perhaps later I shall try to render myself into something that passes for human, minus the benefit of a hot shower, and venture forth.

On a practical note, those several large Coke bottles I filled with water and put in the freezer months ago, now transferred to the refrigerator, are definitely doing their job and keeping things as cold as if the power was on.

Very clever idea on the Coke bottles.  I may have to throw some in the deep freeze. Glad you are safe, but empathize with the boredom.

Some Hydro Ottawa guys are on the way to CT to help restore power, hang in there JB.

Boredom is definitely the better alternative to what people in NJ and NYC are going through. Hope all the forum members in that area are well.

NS Power is also sending a contingent to CT. That JB guy
must be some kind of important!

Good idea! Hope this turns into no more than a couple of days and not one of those weeklong power outages-those can be pretty miserable. Also hope temperatures are not too extreme for you.

Just when I thought we were in the clear, electricity went off-line for a few hours last night.

One good thing came of it, I met my neighbor two houses down after living here for 12 years.  LOL

Good with the soda bottles, JB.

We were lucky. We didn't loose power (our power only blinked off a few times) and the only damage we suffered to our property was that 3 sections of our wooden fence were blown down.
