Stephen, the internet machine tells me it's from Doctor Strange #182 (1969)

Sidebar: I like that design above. Never read those issues -- not sure why he needs a mask -- but it's a cool design imho.

Wow.  Those  Doctor Strange spreads are amazing.  Colan and Palmer were on their game!

Oh yeah!  That Avengers West Coast is nice.  All those faces in the back convey terror, fear, evil.

I know the issue, and don't recall this happening before,
but I read it now as "Fragments of greater a darkness"
which I know is wrong--but it's what my brain did.

I was listening to Harry Potter in the car with my kids last week and it struck me how similar the Master Pandemonium  looking for fragments of his soul is similar to Harry looking for fragments of Voldemort's.

That West Coast splash is terrifying. Master Pandemonium was a cool, funky villain even if the name was clunky.

Been a while since I've read that run of WCA.  That is a VERY creepy page.

Incidentally, Nathan, have I mentioned that my favorite scene in TANGLED is the one where Mittens the cat teaches Bolt how to behave like a real dog?

I'm not trying to derail this thread -- but is this an in-joke between JB and Nathan?   Bolt and Tangled are two different movies.  Am I missing something?

Nathan what are those books with the reconfigured panel layouts,
digest reprints?
I love that Miller double page spread.
