Robert, that copter-style Enterprise was likely from the Remco CSF (Controlled Space Flight) line, which also included a Batcopter! ![](uploads/BrianHague/2012-10-15_193042_J8087aresize.jpg)

Speaking of Remco, here's another comic book toy from my childhood: the Remco Energized Superheroes:

I had Spider-Man and the accessory pack ... and maybe the copter and maybe Green Goblin? I'm not sure. 1978 was a long time ago and I was just a young tyke.

So I was looking up some toys for my kids today. As I did, I came across this, and it just broke my heart.

==== Count me as one who really wanted the "flying Superman".

Rom, the Space Knight!
However, if I ever manage to acquire one, it must be fully functional.

When I was too young to read or understand the stories fully, I played with the Kenner Super Powers toys.
Some of the more rare ones I owned were of Mantis and Steppenwolf.
I also used to have the black Spiderman from Secret Wars line.
When I got to read and understand comics more, I started Superman with JB's Man of Steel comics. Was there ever a toy line from JB's run? I don't really remember any from my best recollection although I think the Ruby Spears cartoons were inspired by JB's run.

The Ghost Gun, which was made by Hasbro. I had it when I was about 3 or 4.

==== Jovi, the 80's were not kind to Superman fans wanting toys of the Man Of Steel. No such toy line exists. I don't even think Superman got a series deicated just to him until '92/'93 with the Death and Return storylines. Also, the was a "Superman Through The Ages" set of four figures some time back. There is a figure in there that is supposed to reflect JB's rendering of him. It was a rather unsuccessful attempt, IMO.
As of today, there have been some great figures that have been made of Superman. My favorite is the SHOWCASE figure that came with the ant and lion heads. To this day, I still don't think anyone has done a good LINE of figures for him.
