Nice stuff, guys...long time no see! Darren, good to see you back! My scanner is, well, not here right now...sooo...besides, I am practicing and I really don't want to post anything until I work on my "one-point perspective", then try "two-point"! Learning, learning, learning...and watching the techniques I am seeing here!

Two insomnia induced sketches.  Never drawn Hawkman before, pretty cool character.

Feel free bud. Just give me the nod. I'll even concentrate and ink it up more seriously.

" TEE HEE...i now have a castrillo/taylor rom spaceknight as my desktop... "-James

I'm glad you enjoyed it, as soon as I saw the Rom I had a hankering to ink it. In all honesty I've been keeping my eyes peeled for something of MAC's to ink for about six months now. So when this cropped up I had to jump at it!

waitaminute...you mean you guys were just mucking about?

god i feel inadequate...lol

you know, come to think of it, i don't remember seeing many
collaborations between you two.

i remember the daredevil piece that darren inked but apart from that i
don't recall anything else.

that's one of the cool things about you guys, if someone posts something
then someone else is always quick to see something in it they like and
either ink it or color it...or both.

and that my friends is why i keep coming back...because the meshing of
art styles is a great thing to watch because most of the time something
greater is the result...and that's just cool.

James, the luxury of -not- getting paid to ink a piece of work means I can do it for my own pleasure and treat it as seriously as I see fit. I had a little under two hours spare this morning and fittered around with MAC's image for the bulk of that.

Had I been inking this seriously there would be several things that I'd have done diferently. Not the least of which would have been to provide more lighting and textural elements. I'd have also but the smoke that MAC had down by ROM's camera right leg. maybe a few asteroids or something in the background.

When people present their work here it's important to remember that the work in the most part is presented as work they have done for their own benifit. A little light hearted entertainment for themselves.
