Thanks everyone...you know, we've not had a sketchbook "theme" or project for a while.

How about an X-Men week?

Any X-Men sketches people?

Here's Dr. Doom. He looks more...um...jolly than I'd hoped. Better luck next time.

Mac thanks for asking, Work has been kind of slow. I've been spending the time nurseing a wound i received last weeked. My wife and I were in the village some drunk ass groped her. I got into a shouting match, the guy stabbed me in the leg. I punched him in the throat. Dealth with the police hassle and going to the hospital to get stiched up. did a few concept sketch's for an airbrush artist. nothing much :)

It has been awhile since we've done something hasn't it Darren. X-men week sounds good to me.

Oh to bring it up we've got two milestones coming up we should do something for them. We are almost upon 10,000 replies for this thread only a few shy of 400. Also we are gonna be coming up on page 400 of this thread

AJ...hope you're feeling okay, and your wife is well! Talk about scary!

Darren...an X-Men week, huh? Gonna' make me do something other than Nightcrawler? Lol! How about Kurt and Logan? Didn't realize we were coming up on that many pages, and I think I will use my X-Men Essentials 2 for a reference point because I can copy JB's technique fairly well, and the black and white images help me with my inking...unless you guys want to handicap me and forbid me the crutches...speaking of which, I hope AJ isn't using a pair right now! OW!!!! Glad you're more or less OK, Mr. Lombardi!

Sean, good Dr. Doom!

An idea i have to celebrate hitting the 400 page mark is for us to do art based on comics that have reached the 400 issue mark.

Some titles that i know are
Amazing Spider-Man
Detective Comics
Action Comics
Fantastic Four
Captain America
Avengers
Incredible Hulk
Uncanny X-Men
Adventure Comics

How do you all feel about it ?

Anthony that is a cool idea...

may I add... that the issues you listed...
we do a little search to find what what actually drawn for it and do a re-imaging of it like JB did with the xmen book flaps...

every one has their take on it... and to keep it simple... keep it in pencil...

George...those of us who are uncomfortable with inks, thank you! And I will gladly reference anything of JB's for the art!

Still about a week away from launching my strip (work's gotten crazy) but I thought I'd post the two latest ones.  Any advice, tips, criticisms would be greatly appreciated.  And don't worry about hurting my feelings, I've got a pretty thick skin.

Working on an Elric-ish kind of picture, but I really have to work on the intimidation factor with that one! Though if you could see where it is at, I think you would doubt the intimidating part! The horse looks good though! :-)

MAC...e-mail? Request?

Hey, Mary! I am a big Elric fan!  Can't wait to see your take on him!
