Hey Darren, how much photo reference do you use?  I need to use more but I'm afraid I'll just end up with the equivalant of a tracing (which you avoid nicely).

Getting back in the swing I did these sketches in bed last night.  Pretty good examples of me working through ideas, not overly concerned with finishing or proportion, just trying to capture an idea.

No idea where this came from but I really like the face in that it came pretty close to what was in my head.

Never fear a new tool! In order to gain 'skill' with a new tool, you have to use it.

I will use photo-refs whenever or wherever I feel will give me the end look I'm after. That could be 10% of the overall image or 90% dependant on the piece.

Thanks Darren, just happy to be able to draw again, for a while there I had my doubts.  Nice Warrior Woman by the way, not the one I remember, this one is much more interesting.

Darren...whoa...does she intimidate the soft way? Like foes take a look at her and drop dead way, or what?

Luke, very nice stuff, and I love your lines.

Thank you, Chris! Just trying out different poses, and making them look real.
