Here is my inking of AJL. I know Matthew just posted a Taskmaster but I also  had started on one (great minds and all). Just so you guys know; I lightboxed and traced the print out then inked it with a brush, pen for the hard edges. (The JLU? LOL!!!! A great post!!)

Marcus - Well, we both went to SVA, so we both DO have great minds...

Heh...

Actually, there’s some stuff that you've done that I like a lot better than what I've done.  I opened two tabs in Firefox and brought both of our up, then toggled between the two.  It's uncanny to see that they are almost the exact same size!  And what's neat is that I think we've both captured the essence of the pencils, but brought our own thing too it as well - and seeing where we both made the same decisions about stuff.

Great job on that, man.

Thanks! In fact I think you had more guts than I did on the piece. You put in more texture than I did and were more definate in the blacks. I tried to really feather the grays with the brush. I love what you did with the sword. I agreee that it still has the essence of AJL's pencils. Very interesting....

Great job back atcha!

Chris...the middle one...the middle one is the best! Definitely! Good perspective!

I thought I would try my hand at the Taskmaster too, except I took a liberty in my inking when I noticed the wrist line on the left arm and how it ran into the shield; a bit of an error, I thought; so I added a hand! Boy, AJ...all those shading lines! I am impressed!

Marcus - thanks!!!

Chris - I'm lovin' it!  You are doing some great stuff.

Mary - I think it's cool that we three inked the same picture.  I love to see the different choices we all make and what's the same.  You've done a great job on this as well, and the hand is good.  I'm not much of a penciler, so I'm not real brave when it comes to stuff like that.

Thanks, Matt! I thought I would try because of the scope of the detailing AJ did! Glad it works for you! You and Marcus got bold with your blacks...I just stayed back a bit, except for that hand! Then I went outside the lines!! :)
