"...taking life drawing classes at The Art Students League..."
~~~~~
Very much the place to be to vastly improve on drawing skills.  I squandered my time at SVA and never when there.  One of a few regrets in life I have...
I went to the Art Students League before I went to SVA. I went for four months and took a life drawing class that was 10am to 3pm, just drawing nudes. The instructor came on Tuesdays and Thursdays and boy! was he good! No credit just the experience. Of course in the fine arts drawing calss at SVA there was also Life Drawing but as you got into your major, you didn't have to take it anymore. Only Joe Orlando's class, in the cartooning major had life drawing but only for 45 minutes or so.
John...the quick sketch is sooo good! I love that Supes with the feather touch!
Marcus...good stuff! I am away from my home computer and my scanner, so I can't show you what I did. And it looks like three minutes too! But passable!
Matt...I will have to see if such an option is available for me! Maybe also just sit down and focus on real life. As you can tell, I can emulate JB fairly well, and my own style is a tad different.
Chris Y...you know you rock!
I inked David Perrin's wonderful sketch of Robin off the light box. I hope it is ok with David and that you guys like it.
Here's some fun I had tonight trying to "find" the characters of
KNIGHT WATCHMAN and ULTIMAN...there is some piss poor
perspective at work here, and some wonky anatomy, but not a
bad effort for a guy like me...
