Truespace and PaintShopPro again - for an RPG. Pleased with the textures; unsure about the pod.

That Atom is pretty cool Matthew, kinda Klaus Janson vibe in the inks.  How bloody good is George Edwards?  Love the black & white pics, very dynamic.  John Staton, of course is my hero.  Since I am unwell I thought I would try my hand at a Doctor, when it comes to capes though, I haven't got a clue.

Luke, is John Romita, Jr. one of your major influences?

Wallace, yes JRJR has been my favourite artist since the late seventies and his style and that of JB seem to be fairly ingrained in my head, but there are many more.  I, for one, see a lot of Alex Toth in JRJR although I would be surprised if anyone else did.

Just to be clear, when I draw, I don't use any reference, no art or comics lying about, so what I try to do is draw the characters as I feel them.  A quick biro sketch (lots of them) to capture a pose, attitude or gesture and then try to translate that to pencil with constant redrawing, tweaking and erasing.  So with most of the pictures I do more often than not the costumes will be the ones I remember and most likely incorrect.

This is relatively new for me and I appreciate the comments of all the people on this thread, however, I am not precious about it and would love anybody to criticize my posts as that is the only way to learn,  I am too close to it.  I sure hope these pictures don't look like rip-offs but I won't know unless people tell me.

A slightly more detailed phone sketch.  This is probably 15 minutes.  Still not very good...one of those 10,000 BAD drawings that all artists have in them...

Here's a better version. If anyone fancies putting some colour on the centre Flash I would be eternally grateful! Only if ya have some space time or want to practice though.
