Hey guys, do you always think a piece is better finished in ink, or are there times when you prefer the pencil look? Or shall I get a lightbox and do both lol?

Pencil can have such a differnt feel than ink, justy like painted is different
than either of those. I'm in favor of different approaches to different
subjects. It also depends a lot on whether you are inking yourself or
others, I think.

Good inks can be amazing, though!

I say, "Do Both!"

Chris, I think the art looks clearer in ink but since I am still trying to figure out the pencil I don't go near a pen ( biro being the exception).  Tried the lightbox and found the results too stiff so I'm trying to adjust to laying out, erasing and tightening up.  A struggle and more often than not frustrating, but great fun.

David,
"Nice work there, I thought your stuff looked familiar. I noticed
you said you were trying to break back into comics...have you
done anything with the indies or smaller publishers lately?"

Thanks Casey.
Nothing as of yet with indies or small publishers.
The progress on producing new sample pages is coming
along. I hope to get in front of editors this Summer.

Here is a look at a sample page....

David, great artwork.

Luke, Loved the Batman.

Flavio, the best thing I love about "Time-machine" outings is the feeling of nostalgia. Takes me back to those "innocent" days when I did the drawings. Thanks for sharing.

Darren, it's hard to describe the feeling I had going back home and finding
my old sketchbooks. No backgrounds, shitty anatomy, but, man, what
enthusiasm!

One of my strongest memories of comics reading is of my first Namor
story- seeing Atlantis, the big trident, the blue guys- I just couldn't wait to
get home and start drawing.

BTW, I was trying to catch up with everybody's output and I am floored!

Perrin and Pereira are forces to be reckoned with! Watch out for these
guys!
