Hello everyone, wow, some great stuff since I was away- you guys always amaze me-- I will comment on your works later tonight, so please check back soon.

For those of you that have asked me how I do the animation, here are the images for now; later tonight I will describe the animation steps. Creating animated gifs is easy. You are only limited by your imagination. More tonight. Hope it helps, my friends; keep up the great work! GE

New BattleWorlds post: Shaman animated GIF by GE

I used Adobe Photoshop for the layers file, and Adobe ImageReady to import and sequence the animation.

I started off with the Shaman sketch. Here I wanted to portray Shaman in a classic leader pose, very regal, very self-assured. The hand extending outward suggest the gesture of command. Feet spread out suggest firm action stance. His outfit is sun-oriented to indicate his Amazonian heritage.

Pen & Ink- I wanted smooth clean lines, with Kirby wiggly-lines for reflections.

Basic color- Shaman is tan-skinned, just like real-life Brazilian Amazonian Amerindians. His white hair indicates his advanced age. I chose a warm yellow hue for his golden outfit.

Shadows & highlights- for shadows and highlights, I didn't want extremes; just enough to give the character volume

Background- I wanted the gradient background color to match the gold hues.

"Kirby Krackle" & Staff. The krackles are 5 different krackle layers to help mix it up- In comics, the Kirby Krackle ("crackle" is more accurate, but I like krackle) is black, but I wanted to give it a color, this way I emphasize Shaman, yet retain the energy manifiestation of the krackle

Mr. Perrin...I am still a shade or five of green here. (Digs around for anatomy text...I know I'm not that bad, but sheesh, you guys!)
