Chris, being a guy who can't seem to read things in order, I looked at your picture above and thought "Man, I would like to see him start improving on action shots, and storytelling panels".  I then went to the bottom of the page, read your comment, and then back up to see that you want to get out of your comfort zone.  So anyhoo, I want to see you do more action shots.

Heh, cool Justin! I'm really wanting to "advance", it's going to be really frustrating but I want to get better, so we'll see lol. Atleast I've given feet on a few drawings eh!

Yeoman - check out if you don't have it, "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way".  It is a very good resource on teaching to use basic shapes to "build" the figure.

Yeah, I've been trying to hunt it down! I thought I found it awhile back, but a CD was sent to me and didn't work lol.

Joe Kubert's Superheroes book is awesome.  Plus the Will Eisner books, but as Matthew suggested Marvel Way is great.

James- love your FF pic!  Reminds me of a Mike Allred style!

Chris- please seek out a series of books by Burne Hogarth; they helped me immensely.  Especially Dynamic Figure Drawing, Dynamic Light and Shade, and Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery.

Chris- I sent you an email reply.

Wow- some great art on the boards lateley; sorry of I haven't commented, I cant keep up this week! But in general, looking back from page # 1- you all have been improving immensely- keep it up!!!

Hey guys, great news! I'm producing a sci-fi concert. Check out our press release!

------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------------------

Sci-Fi Movie Music Symphony Concert at the Warner Theatre in California

George Edwards, creator of BattleWorlds is the producer for the Golden State Pops Orchestra's (GSPO) Sci-Fi movie music concert titled "Out Of This World" on May 20, 2006 in California. He will produce the art and multimedia portion of the show.

www.gspo.com

(This is my art for the May 20 2006 sci-fi show- how does it look? It's supposed to be in tone with the current "dark sci-fi" sensibilities found in today's movies.  It's a close-up shot of a sci-fi story I created called "The Inner Light")

"GSPO is once again working with sci-fi producer George Edwards, to create the concert, "Out of This World". Mr. Edwards last produced with GSPO on "May the Force Be With You - Star Wars In Concert" in May of 2005. It was a smash hit!

George will be on the Stageside Chat before the sci-fi concert begins; interviewed by GSPO Conductor Steve Fox about his upcoming collaboration: the BattleWorlds symphony orchestra soundtrack, composed and conducted by Mr. Fox. GE will show the live-action concept trailer for BattleWorlds: FutureWar. You won't want to miss this incredible sci-fi concert."

------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------

Hope you guys like it; If you're in Los Angeles, come see the show!

This is part of a "re-design the avengers with a JLA feel to it project" at another board so this is Scarlet Witch mixed with Zatanna:
