I recently finished a 10-page minicomic for the 2006 Isotope Excellence in Minicomics competition, which I wrote and penciled. There's no dialog (except for the writing on the notes, since it involves "silent dating"), so I forced myself to attempt to tell the story visually.

The scenes were composed in Poser 6 and exported to Piranesi to produce the backgrounds; I hand-traced over the figures to add facial expressions, clothing, hair, etc., scanned and overlaid the scans on to the backgrounds.

Would you guys please look it over and give me any critiques that you think that I need to improve my storytelling?

Don't spare my feelings, I've had my chops busted by Erik Larsen!

Chris Y - thank you.  Glad I could help

MAC - another knockout piece!  Wow.  Looks like your back is back.  Thanks for the kind words.  I was actually just messing with you a bit, so it's all good!  :)

Dwayne - well done and skillfully thought out.

Great work from Shane, Dwayne and Mac, from whom I'd expect nothing short of excellence;-)

Hope you back's on the mend buddy.

Anthony, "Legends" are generally cited in their offsprings "title" so that the plebans know who's genes they're dealing with;-)

So Son-of-Anthony is as much a compliment to Brendon as it is to you.

Hey fellers, I have a question-
I've noticed that trying to draw with pencils on canvas is tough, is there a way to smooth it out so that it's easier to be more acurate, like a paint or something?
