Matthew- thank you! Yes, I used reference on the lady GL, Nightwing and Captain Atom, but I did try and change things up, such as- Nightwing's costume and hair style, I changed Cap Atom back to Silver, rather than the gold look, so I did use reference to help me, but kinda adapted a few things. :) I hate doing it, but if I'm going to make a painting, I wanted it to look quite professional.

Hey, I mentioned this over on the Comics Pull list, but I just picked up the
latest issue of Illustration magazine, #15. Full issue retrospective of
Bernie Fuchs (that's "fyooks" with the double oo as in "loot").
This guy is one of the tops of the New School illustration style that came
out in the late 50s-early 60s, along with Bob Peak, Mark English and Bob
Heindel.

Check it:

You can do a lot worse than studying this guy's work.

Lately I have really been wanting to do some painting.
It is something I was never taught to do and pretty
much missed out on doing all these years. So I've been
trying to do more painting with my limited knowledge
of the subject. Here an attempt at a landscape.

Vlad -

For many reasons, that goes beyond an "attempt" and being "limited."

You are rocking, dude.

(And I'm going to ask again: traditional or computer?)

Andrew Hess: Roger - Who is that first guy? Maze Man?"

Heh..nope.  He's called the Amoeba, a toxic-waste-origin based character I created back in the late 80's when I had a younger man's drawing hand.  Just wanted to see if I could still do all those squiggly lines without killing my fingers.  The test was a success, though I must say I had to take an occasional break.

How do you do all a' those squiggy paint-stroky things? I gotta learn me
some a' that stuff.

Roger - I like your name for him better than mine.

Bill - coolness. Gotta love those long phone calls.

Im almost 100% healthy and itching to get back in my chair.
Im finally able to walk and sit, so i finished one of the pieces i
was working on before pinching a nerve.
Vlad- awesome line work, you rock.!!
Darren- I got your email and will visit the site you mentioned.
I have to catch up on paying work so itll take awhile before i
