Excellent Batman, Tim Sale. There is no false modesty in saying it's a swipe... it's a swipe. Sale deserves all and any credit for this Batman pose. I'll take credit for the clouds...

This was another thing I found in the folder:

The ink hasn't held up all that well with time. Fairly certain it was Quink.

Nice one Joe!

I have seriously lost whatever little sketching mojo I may have once had, so I went back to a reliable source to try and and re-calibrate.

I know Mr. Byrne did Red Sonja, but did he ever draw Conan?

Some really nice ones Joe.

This sketch started with me copying a Bliquis Evely Supergirl cover and sort got carried away.  It took a turn towards "Martian Princess", I'm afraid.  Not great.

I find Ms. Evely's retro-brush style very reminiscent of early newspaper comic artists like Raymond or WIlliamson, but maybe a bit less "lush", if that makes any sense.  I didn't really do her work justice, and instead of inking it as I originally intended...I wimped out and stuck with pencils.

I think of this pose as saying "Every day is a GREAT day (when you're Supergirl)"

One more Bliquis Evely portrait rip-off.  This time with a brush pen + ball-point for the finer lines
