Had a ton of fun redesigning the All-New/All-Different X-Men team. The only rules were to keep the original costume color schemes...and to channel Mr. Byrne for the designs as best I could....

I inked another blue line of Paul Pelletier's pencils. Fred also owns this one and I'm thankful for his hi rez scans and letting me post!

David, I really like your take on the X-Men costumes. The 3 claw images on Wolverine's chest really looks nice!Thunderbird's costume seems to pay homage to Guardian's costume design (wrap around) which looks good. Possibly still add a leather belt to it, but over all great work!

MARVEL FUNKO POP CHARACTER WISH LIST : THE FANTASTIC FOUR (EARTH-7712) In case you're not familiar with these characters this is a story based on the Fantastic Four receiving different powers then what they did on our Earth...Ultra-Woman, Mandroid, Dragonfly and Big Brain who then became Mr. Fantastic (I believe that this is the first version of Ben Grimm seen in a Funko Pop Style). The story came out when I was a kid and just the idea of the different possibilities like this one really made my imagination soar. I think the idea of producing versions of Funko Marvel POP characters from different worlds would be great! Mandroid was the most challenging one to do so I REALLY hope you enjoy him and the rest of the group. I have other ideas in mind of other What If? characters to do, so look for them in the future.

@Sam
THANKS! I’ve been busy with those costumes. Ive done tighter versions of each. I’ll post them soon...as soon as I’m done with costumes based on the ‘What-If” cover discussion in the forum! Man, that story concept has REALLY piqued my curiosity! I can only pray Mr. Byrne gets to realize it in Elsewhen form one day. But in the meantime I played out some ideas I had in mind.
Your Funko’s are killer! This alternate take on the FF is still so weird to see in any form!

Hi everyone!
This is my first post, though I've read and enjoyed this forum for years! I read over in the Elsewhen comments section that there are over 8000 members of the John Byrne page on FB, but that there are only 561 members of this forum. Those numbers really made me reflect on the high-quality membership here on this forum.
I have enjoyed reading thoughtful and thought-provoking posts on so many different topics, enjoyed exploring links and articles of interest posted by members, and of course, hearing JB's musings and opinions on so much of the above. I just wanted to say thank you to our host, and to those of you who post regularly. This truly is a special place to be. I know I am not alone, and that there must be thousands of people who lurk around these environs...and though our membership is small, I'm sure the impact on so many people's lives is huge.
So anyways, here is a pin-up I just finished the other day of Uncle Walt's Thor! I wanted to put him in a quiet moment of repose...perhaps just after a huge slugfest! Hope you like it! Any comments would be appreciated! Thank you!

The metallic bits seem very effectively done! Would be curious to see a Doctor Doom as gleaming...

Thank you Rebecca! I was getting a Dr. Doom vibe from the gauntlets too! :)
I also thought I'd upload the "pencils" and the line art for this piece. I know some people like to see the preliminary stuff!
Cheers!
