QUOTE:
From Paulo:"your monsters look like they were done by a different artist." Inconsistency? Split personality? More effort on my own characters? Or maybe I suck? All of the above? I don't know. I thought they were all drawn by me.... |

Stop it. You don't suck. I think you just have a knack for drawing really cool-looking monsters. Again, not a knock on your superhero stuff.
BTW, great stuff, everyone!

Thanks, Paulo. It may be I just try harder on the
monster types...
Great Batpix JPB. I like the 'reveal' of the giant
...Does this mean you're doing sequentials also?
Hope so...
Darren A., very cool. Are the bottom 3 posts your own
creations?
Nice inks, Greg...
And Bill... I think I used to work with that OfficeMonkey
...

Your non-monster types are quite good, too, Blake. Keep at it, and
remember to bolster your self-confidence instead of tearing it down!

Thanks Blake, to answer your question, the last three posts are stuff I came up with (creations is too strong a word). My tendancy these days is to have a germ of an idea (storywise) pop into my head and I sketch the various elements I need. The fourth page is a perfect example of this, bits and pieces of visual elements. Also I have a lousy memory and a fairly short attention span, so whenever I come up with an idea in this manner I need to put in visual reminders so I can remember what it is I was trying to achieve. This can even include bits of dialogue. One of these days I may either be happy with an idea or brave enough to actually submit something.
