These are, ahem, "inspired" by German cartoonist from the 20s, from the
mag Simplicissimus.

Flavio what are your influences? I love the drawing of the portly man at the
dining table. The lady and man seem more to be a study of fashion design
and folds more than anything else.

John, yesterday´s sketches were inspired by some German cartoons from a magazine they had back then called SIMPLICISSIMUS.  I bought a couple of books of its cartoons in Germany, some years ago.  So, these two are really off my beaten track. 

I do admire a lot of art from this period, Gustav Klimt and George Grosz to name two fine artists you may have come accross.
