I did this sketch after reading about regency era prizefighters, that'swhy this figure has a titus haircut and big sideburns (except they werecalled side whiskers back then).

It was after doing this sketch that I realized maybe I draw a bit toolong, I may need to balance out my measurements a little (I use the, very common, head as a unit of measurement method). It's also obvious I did only a mediocre job of covering up the fact that I can't truly draw hands, yet.

Apparently there was this one fighter (In regency England) calledgentleman jack. He was very popular amongst sculptors who wanted to usehim as a model because he was really well conditioned, as in reallywell defined muscled tone, like a Greek sculpture or something. Thefunny thing was that sculptors used his physique but not his face(they'd hire another model to base their statue's face on) because hisface was so goddamn ugly......well maybe not so goddamn ugly but simplyunconventional or just not very ideal, his ears stuck out at the sidestoo far and I think there was also something about his forehead orsomething that was undesirable.

Vlad your Vamp is fantastic. Here are a couple of old Vampirella pics I pulled out of the closet.

This second one was inked by the master of digital inking himself  Vlad. I love what he did to my pencils

Here are the pencils

This last one was a layout that never got finished .
