Here's a Batgirl that I'm not going to finish.  Don't like the hair, cape or hatching on the inks.  I just can't seem to find a way that I like to blend the lights and darks.  For example, her left arm, where there isn't any (attempt at) feathering/hatching looks alot better to me than the other areas where I've made a mess of things.  Oh well.

Thanks to everyone who complimented me on the Batman piece.

Andy, if I may offer a suggestion?

Finish the piece anyway.  There are some nice areas on it and one always learns more from the "bad" ones than the ones where it all seems to come together. 

Loosen up a bit, and take a look at some high contrast b&w figure photography if necessary to get an idea of how the lighting might cross the planes of the figure...but don't be bound by reality if a nice effect can be achieved by exaggeration.
