I vote that reality should abandon its pitiful grasp on the obviously
fraudulant post Madolyne Pryor X-Men continuity we've all been
brainwashed into believing and re-establish contact with the continuity
that Aaron describes above.

Where is that Shaper of Worlds guy right now?

Marvel no longer has Super-Teams, they have super powered street gangs.

UNCANNY X-FORCE. KILLERS.

"The group that we start off with right off the bat is Psylocke, Storm, Puck and Spiral, and we have a few more characters joining the group in the first few issues. In my mind, all those characters are wild cards.

In the game of Marvel going darker and darker for the sake of going "gritty" I see X-force Killers and raise you Avengers Arena. Marvel's next attempt at being like teen books turned movies.

He won't work for Marvel anymore.  And I don't blame him.

**

That sorta jumped out at me too. That and "In my mind,
all those characters are wild cards." might not be the best
foundation for a TEAM...

I swear- reading the articles on "Uncanny X-Force" and "Avengers Arena"- it feels like one big practical joke, like "this can't be real."

Sort of like Jasmine in the shower scene in JBNM 29 (28?).

So sad- and somehow I'm still surprised at the new depths to which Marvel & DC hurtle towards daily.  Will these companies still be producing new printed/digital comic book stories 24 months from now I wonder?  Hard to see it- just crazy, revolting, and insulting work being issued, all with a "you can't top THIS!" attitude.

I'm just grateful for back issues and reprints so my son will be able to enjoy Marvel when it knew it was producing comic books for all ages and not soft-core porn/snuff/fan fictions.  Bleeech.

I don't read the current comics so this doesn't matter to me. I have to
question why some of you would get worked up over it if you're not, and
haven't been, reading current Marvel. You just have to accept that
comics change and just aren't made for fans like you anymore.

Speaking for myself my annoyance comes from knowing that Marvel and DC aren't being done with fans like me in mind. I've accepted that but I hope that someday they might be for me again. Each new story about what's going on in comics pushes the chance of that happening away a bit more and more.

Thank Odin for back issues and IDW and Dynamite.

Jesus Araon,

What were you doing in the 90's and why weren't you writing comic books? :-)

Thanks, Rob!  But I was only 9 when they started screwing up Cyclops.

Coming soon from the house of ideas: The ALL NEW Silver Surfer, the Bronze Surfer, the Titanium Surfer, The Tungsten Surfer, the Steel Spelunker, the Platinum Snorkler, and The Mercurian Kayaker...

And yes I already know about Gaard the Cosmic Hockey goalie guy and recognize that the Black Racer is part of the same pattern.

Avengers Arena looks more like Battle Royale with young wanna be superheroes. to me.

Remember that god-awful DC mini-series where multiversal alternates of superheroes and villains were supposed to fight to the death in an arena to earn the right to join Captain Atom as Monarch in his quest to conquer the multiverse and if they didn't he'd kill their families?

And then they had the same thing going on in the DARKSYDE Club?

And before that they had Roulette's silly arena ? Bleah. This idea has already been beaten to death  well before Hunger games came out.

And yeah I know Arcade is an old character. I think one of my first issues of X-men was where they got put in a Murderworld pin-ball machine and Colossus got brainwashed into wanting to smash his team for the CCCP.
