I just hope the black guy doesn't get killed first.

Oh, yeah, like THAT'S gonna happen!

I'm the guy who was accused of being RACIST because I had Iceman thinking Cyclops was a better team leader than Storm -- and this despite the fact that I was the one who had suggested making Storm team leader in the first place!

JB, not sure if it's been mentioned yet or if you're able/willing to say, but what is the approximate release date for this project?

This is a bit of a tangent, but I just had a wacky idea.  Let's say a comic company pre-releases a black and white digital version of a comic for say a dollar to raise interest in the "full" release later on.  Would that help or hinder sales of the paper release of the comic?  Has any company tried anything like this yet?

And maybe not even the full comic.  Maybe just teaser images without dialogue, enough to entice without revealing any major plot.  You wouldn't want to charge  someone twice for the same story.

Really, anything to get to see this mystery project all the sooner.

for the longest time, i've thought that any "extras" a publisher was willing to include should be in the monthly comic only, not the trade paperback. people who support the comic by buying it monthly thus get the goodies, so to speak, while those who "wait for the trade" get the story-- but that's pretty much it.

suggested that to a friend who was at DC and he thought it was brilliant. it hasn't happened yet but i think it'd be worth doing.

and... sorry, the above was a bit off track. to bring it back a little, i wonder if IDW would be willing to produce quarterly "samplers" with bits of artwork from to-be-released projects. it would give readers something to ponder, debate and anticipate. just my two cents.

I was joking Mr. Byrne, you've created and done a lot progression with minority characters.

Been a while since I gave you all a peek at this project, so here's a page that was finished this morning. . .

The guy at right in panel four has a bit of a JRjr vibe, doesn't he?

Oh, and by the way. . .

There has been a shift in the order things will be coming your way. You'll be getting Myster Project 1, followed by (possibly overlapped by) Mystery Project 2, followed by FINDERS OF LOST CHILDREN.

I eagerly await this!!!

That guy in panel four sure has a JRjr profile...squarish nose, defined forehead, but the eyes and mouth are all JB, in my opinion!

Cool page.  I love how you drew the submarine in the first panel.
