I'm sooo in, very intrigued!

And tho Billy Connolly is Scottish, that's a lil' of who I'm seeing for "Great Britain" (C'mon, it's not like Connery was a Brit!).

And South America/Brazil, hmmmm maybe Mission: 2012?  No, wait, maybe Mission: 2012 +1?

As usual, a caution against speculation. Even when "joking", someone might hit too close to home, and spoil the series.

I can honestly say, if I gave you the character's names, their jobs, even some sense of their "mission", you would not be able to connect the dots.

I really like knowing as little as possible. I love these teasers. They work since I want to read this project right now!

I initially assumed that the words underneath were their names! Usa (Oosa) seemed like a pretty bizarre name.

••

Well, at least you didn't read it as LISA!

I really like how each person looks different in that drawing even down to the subtle details like the fuller lips on the Russian woman.

Best Canadian since Puck. Cool group, very nice mix of builds, faces and postures.

Of course Connery a Brit. Scotland is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. What he isn't is English.

My vibe from the picture is a team of adventurers like the Challengers or Doc Savage's crew.

That was the plot of an episode of The Planet of the Apes Saturday morning cartoon show of the early '70s: a bust of one of the lost astronauts had been found by the apes, who mistook the designation of "USA" on the base of the bust as her name, and worshipped her as a lost god: "Usa! Usa! Usa!"

When I was a kid, there was an urban legend that the Japanese had renamed one of their industrial towns "Usa" so they could label products "MADE IN USA".

For those of tender years, who may not remember, there was a time when "MADE IN JAPAN" was considered an automatic signal of cheap and shoddy!

JB -- will this series be connected to any of your other "universes"?

Yes and no.

And that may be one of the few times in history that phrase has been used as the honest answer, and not as an equivocation!
