I never thought Kirby drew Spider-Man well…•• Kirby often seemed to have difficultly "finding" characters he didn't design. I suspect it's because so much of his design work was based on HOW he drew. Kirby costumes, Kirby machines, Kirby architecture, all sprang from his specific approach to the forms, NOT from "real life". Thus, the internal logic in Ditko's Spider-Man costume runs contrary to the logic in Kirby costume designs.

My curiosity was piqued, so applying the same "rules" as Frank. . . No -- this won't be for sale.

JB's version looks a superhero coming to your rescue. FM's looks like a monster coming to kill you, and like as not feast upon your bone marrow. Probably not in quite that order.

Wow. You even fixed the costume on the right forearm. I would buy a Jack Kirby Spider-Man with inks like that!

Wow! Love JB's inks over Kirby! No offense to Miller but this just feels ... right.

Wow!!!! Fantastic job JB!!! I'd love to see more Kirby Spider-Man as inked by JB. You kept the essence of Kirby, while drawing the webbing in a way I identify as the correct way to do Spidey costume webbing. I really like it.
